Something for everyone! Labor co-leads, stewards and others attending the Union Delegates conference will be able to comment on the LMPtalk blog, Tweet or use Facebook to share information with their colleagues at home. Read on to find out how you can help spread the word if you’re a delegate, and how you can stay on top of what happens from afar.

Twitter is a social media networking tool that delegates can use at the conference to communicate with fellow attendees and with team members back home. Take advantage of the 140-character messages known as “Tweets” to share resources, network or simply comment on your experience at the conference.

- Get updates about workshops and sessions.
- Network and connect with peers in LA and back home. Note: Please do not post information that session leaders have asked remain confidential.
How to Twitter and Tweet
- Go to www.twitter.com to create an account.
- Type the #spreadchange2010 in the search box to see what others are writing.
- Post a message in the box under the question, “What are you doing?” Be sure to write:#spreadchange2010 at the end to help other attendees find your post.
Terms to know
- Hashtag=a key word or term. For example, our hashtag is #spreadchange
- Retweet (RT)=reposting a message that has already been posted to share with your own followers
- Direct Message (DM)=a message sent to a single follower instead of all followers

Facebook is another social media networking tool that you can use at the Union Delegates Conference to communicate with your peers at the conference and back home. Facebook users can share stories, tools, pictures and video with friends. You can also attach personal notes to items posted on the LMPPartnership page.

- Read the entries and post a comment. If you’re on your own page, please feel free to upload pictures and make your own posts about the conference.
